Dare To Tweet

London 2012 Flopping?
A poor showing - and some were sent away because they did not get
inside by 30 minutes prior to the equestrian event.

Hopefully this is not a general trend in International Olympics.
Better than cleaning barracks.  Free Tickets for English Military.
I'll tweet this and see what happens.
Maybe NBC and Twitter will cut me off, too.

Penn State Shame

Oust PSU from the B1G??
Jerry Sandusky is led away after being found guilty on 45 of
46 counts of criminal sexual abuse of a minor.
This may shame the B1G as much as it shames the tried and true Nittany Lions faithful.  The fact that nobody outside the Penn State campus ever had a suspicion only shows to what degree this thing was intentionally hidden.  We all were duped into ever accepting PSU in the first place to 'expand' the Big Ten.

Sorry, Joe. You are no Angel.
Now - of all things - we are supposed to feel compassion for a guy who essentially penned in his last exhibit that this 'alleged incident is not worthy' of NCAA attention.  I choked aloud on that when I read it - and not in an endearing fashion whatsoever.

What would we all do in the same situation?  The Fact is:  We All never would have been.  The excuses given by some of the eye witnesses? They were fearing for their jobs.  Give me a break.  That is weak and a sign of zero backbone.
A noble act?  A justification?  Penn State students protest the firing
of Joe Paterno.  Ignorance is bliss, as they say.
Somebody with the 'twisted' character to clearly cover up sick sexual abuse of boys cannot ask for sympathy and understanding nor even try to behave like it did not happen.  It did happen.  And because it went on for over ten years after the first police intervention does not say much for the whole State of Pennsylvania.  The 'supporters' try to explain their way around it.  And many are still in denial.  We should be looking for more problems, in my opinion, because it is an illness and does not go away by itself.  *UPDATE*
I'm so, so sorry for those victims.

How does this writer know?  I myself was a victim of an unwanted sexual approach by a male 30 years his senior as a teenager.  And it was never pursued, either.  S - - t happens?!?  No!!  It does not have to.  I got help and grew from it - but it is important to acknowledge the reality, like an admission of guilt, before healing begins.

The Shadow of Shame is going to hang around for some time.

We Miss Bo.
